Eligibility Criteria

• Freelance or staff journalists working for independent news organizations in the United States can submit their work on science, public health, technology, or the environment from the preceding calendar year.
• Media outlets must be based in the United States and not have a large staff or focus on a national audience.
• Entries can be individual pieces or a series of up to three works on a related theme in broadcast, print, or digital journalism formats.
